The National Purchasing Institute (NPI) announces the selection of Tucson, AZ, for the 38th Annual National Conference and Products Exposition and the 11th Annual Presentation of the Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Awards. NPI will hold the conference at the JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort, August 29 through September 2, 2006. The annual NPI event gathers members of the purchasing community for networking opportunities, workshops, seminars, and the products exposition.

This event marks the return of NPI to Tucson since its annual conference in 1984. Nestled in and surrounded by the serene Sonoran Desert, Tucson’s state-of-the-art JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort opened in early 2005 and is the city’s newest and largest resort and convention center.
