Tacoma, Wash.-based Filtrona Extrusion, the parent company of Davidson Traffic Control Products, has changed its name to Pexco, the brand name of the company's medical tubing products. The name change is intended to emphasize a unified approach across multiple markets and production sites.

The company's traffic control products include barricades, channelizer posts, reflective lane markers (pictured above), work zone pavement markers, flexible delineator posts, reflectors for barrier walls and guardrails, snow poles and adhesive products. Company management will be unchanged, and Pexco will retain the Davidson brand name for its traffic control product line. “The new Pexco identity focuses on creatively working with customers to help solve their challenges — from highly technical engineering solutions to taking advantage of our manufacturing capability across seven plants in North America,” said Pexco CEO Neil Shillingford.

According to Shillingford, Pexco will maintain its focus on its core markets, including traffic control.
