Glen Carter, manager of product engineering for Des Plaines, Ill.-based liquid safety product maker Justrite Manufacturing, has been named to the new position of chief technical and application information officer for the company. In his new position, Carter will conduct safety-training seminars to distributor salespeople and at tradeshows and conferences. Carter has more than 25 years of experience in safety products design development. He serves on the NFPA 30 Flammable and Combustible Liquids Code Committee. He holds an undergraduate degree in architecture and a graduate degree in business administration.

Steve Sims

Steve Sims has joined Dayton, Ohio-based Staco Energy Products Co. as eastern regional sales manager. Previously, he was central regional sales manager for Libertyville, Ill.-based Chloride Power Solutions. In his new position, Sims will interact with businesses that promote the company's products in the eastern United States. He has a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Worcester (Mass.) Polytechnic Institute.
