The Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County, Fla., has contracted with Louisville, Ky.-based Denios to design and manufacture a network of storage cabinets for household hazardous waste accumulation sites around the county. The authority collects pesticides, cleaning products, solvents, pool chemicals, paint, used oil and propane cylinders at the sites for proper disposal.

Denios' cabinets are designed to provide authorized personnel with safe access to all materials from outside the structure. Built-in sumps contain any hazardous chemical spills or leaks. Galvanized grating positioned above the sump allows for visual inspection of spills and can be removed for cleaning. All the cabinets use roll up doors that are rated to withstand hurricane-force winds.
