New online features for the MxVision Weather Sentry Online system include: a lightning alert system that sends out three alerts — an early warning, an “act-now” notice and the “all-clear” signal”; real-time, animated lightning imagery and warning systems; increased performance of layered weather views; expanded industry highlights (from four regions to seven) yielding more localized and focused weather information; and three new blogs offering commentary on current and long-term weather patterns. Features already found on MxVision WeatherSentry Online include: instant access to experienced meteorologists in a consulting forum; storm-tracking tools that indicate where severe weather is headed over the next 60 minutes; and customized views that offer National Weather Service warnings, watches and advisories.
