The VIDA Broadband system has been developed for fixed and nomadic public safety applications and can be used by public safety agencies to implement primary status hybrid fixed and nomadic networks for mission critical applications. The VIDA Broadband network uses licensed 4.9 GHz frequencies and robust standards-based IEEE 802.16 (WIMAX) technology. It leverages an open standard to provide public-safety-grade security and Quality of Service with true broadband data throughputs. The product lineup includes handheld portables, consoles, base stations and other systems.
