ORION Vela 2.0 is a mapping application used in emergency call processing. The software allows emergency call processors to determine wireline and wireless call locations for dispatching first responders. The product, which automatically distributes updated maps to each desktop, gives dispatchers the most pertinent information, and helps them find callers whose precise locations are unknown. The system also prioritizes when a Phase I wireless call is received and searches for the nearest roads in the area.
