The QuickSwitch Model 6297 allows access to any one of two fiber optic networks from one computer. The switch can be used in any government office, lab or computer room that uses a fiber optic network to pass data. Model 6297 has a front-panel, push-button control, and can be operated remotely for offsite switching. The unit switches automatically to the offline position in case of power loss and before switching from one network to the other. The rear-panel connector accepts ASCII RS232 Serial Data commands, and all fiber ports are OM3 LC Duplex, supporting a wavelength of 850 nm.
