Autonomic Storage Tiering with 3PAR InServ storage servers uses hardware and software that monitors storage performance, then applies policies that intelligently and automatically rebalance workloads across different categories (tiers) of storage. The technology handles spikes in application demands by autonomically moving “hot” data from these applications to high-performance drives on the InServ.
