Wolfhound-Lite is a cell phone detector that fits in a pocket or is worn on a belt clip like a wireless pager. The detector vibrates to alert security and corrections staff to nearby contraband cell phone activity. The device runs on standard lithium-ion rechargeable nine-volt batteries for up to eight hours, enabling security personnel to continuously scan for all cellular voice, text or data transmissions while keeping their eyes and hands free. The unit serves as an alternative to cell phone jamming.
