PowerFile's Hybrid Storage Appliance (HSA) is a long-term fixed-content storage system that combines intelligent storage management software and file management with cost-effective, robust hardware. Data on the HSA cannot be altered once it has been written to a Blue-Ray disk. The HSA can ingest more than 32 terabytes of data per day and handle more than 30,000 file requests per hour. It uses less than 10 percent of the energy required for a disk-based archive solution, says the company.
