The S-Class from Nimbus Data Systems offers 95 percent lower energy costs and on-demand scalability to 100 TB, according to the company. The storage systems, which feature up to 504 redundant NAND flash blades, start at less than $25,000. Nimbus' HALO storage system is implemented into each S-Class unit. HALO has a 64-bit architecture that allows IT personnel to add storage on-demand and automatically manage it as a single pool of capacity.
