The Original Series metal Air-Operated Double-Diaphragm (AODD) pump is suited for a variety of applications in the construction industry. The pumps combine performance and reliability and are used in demanding construction applications that require safe, efficient handling of diverse commodities. A clamped, wetted-path design eliminates leaks and product loss, providing consistent performance, low operational costs and minimal downtime, according to the manufacturer.

The series is offered with the company's Pro-Flo X Air-Distribution System (ADS). The system provides operational flexibility during construction applications through its Efficiency Management System (EMS), which optimizes the ADS for the project's operating parameters regardless of the application demands or pump size.

Designed to be simple and easy to use, the air distribution system and efficiency management system technology have an integrated control dial located at the top of the ADS, which allows users to control the flow rate that best suits the application. The results are efficient performance, low operating costs and flexibility. The pumps are available with ductile-iron, aluminum or stainless-steel materials of construction.

Original Series metal pumps come in five sizes from 13-millimeter (1/2 inch) to 102-millimeter (4 inch) models. All of the models can handle pressures up to 8.6 bar (125 psi), and they feature flow rates ranging from 62.8 lpm (16.6 gpm) to 1,211 lpm (320 gpm).

Jim Wilden, founder of Wilden Pump and Engineering Company, invented the air-operated double-diaphragm (AODD) pump in 1955. The pump was designed for demanding applications. The clamped configuration is a design that evolved from Wilden's invention of the first AODD. The company's metal pump line lends itself to various processes and waste applications. The company offers elastomer options, including Teflon PTFE, to meet abrasion, temperature and chemical compatibility needs. Headquartered in Grand Terrace, Calif., the company is a member of Dover Corporation's Pump Solutions Group (PSG). Wilden is an operating company within Pump Solutions Group (PSG).
