Diamond Grade DG³ (DG-cubed) reflective sheeting for traffic signs returns nearly twice as much reflected light to drivers, thus increasing roadway safety, according to 3M. The sheeting produces the optimal signing material for meeting federal retroreflectivity standards. The product, which adheres to aluminum or other substrates in traffic sign production, enables governments to turn off sign lighting and reduce energy costs. The sheeting can replace nearly all types of reflective sign sheetings, and meets or exceeds the new ASTM Type XI specification.
