Model PTL 2.4x replaces manufacturer’s PTL 2.4 traffic signal. Ideal for directing traffic around road and bridge work, especially for projects requiring overnight traffic control. Can be installed in 1 hour or less, versus 1 to 3 weeks required for installing traditional temporary traffic signals. Runs on battery power, charged by solar panels. New features include a 9-ft. trailer (50% shorter than previous trailer), as well as a removable tongue for anti-theft protection. Redesigned, higher signal head can extend an additional 4 ft. over traveled lane, and both signal heads are hinged to allow 180° turning for facing opposite direction. Holds up to 16 batteries (50% more than previous model) to double battery run time to 34 days without sun. North America Traffic, Port Colborne, Ontario
