Vanguard VMS electronic displays for freeways and expressways feature LED message areas that help manage traffic flow and advise motorists of incidents, warnings, alternate routes, Amber Alerts, and homeland security information. Totally visible under all weather and lighting conditions. Solid-state, full-matrix VMS displays feature LED pixels that can create logos and symbols in addition to alphanumeric text and graphics for maximum flexibility in message content. Full-matrix or line-matrix displays are available in amber or full-color LED models. Central controller features software with real-time verification, enabling operator to view exact appearance of messages shown on signs located miles from traffic management center. Various models offer front, rear, or walk-in (common for freeway installations) sign access for maintenance. Other sizes and styles are available for arterial roadways, bridges and tunnels, toll plazas, and facilities. Meet National Transportation Communications for ITS Protocol (NTCIP) standards.
