Four smooth profiles have been added to the manufacturer's line of T-slotted aluminum framing. The profiles include: 1515-LS, 1530-LS, 3030-LS and 1515-ULS, which is an ultra-light profile. The framing can be used to build material handling gear, including racks, carts and conveyors; exhibit displays; office furniture; machine guards; clean rooms; and workstations. Profiles are compatible with other products in the manufacturer's 15 series. The T-slot flange declines two degrees in toward the center of the profiles, creating a drop lock feature that acts as a lock washer in that it spring- loads the fastener as it is tightened. Most fractional T-slotted profiles are available in 145- and 242-inch stock lengths, and most metric T-slotted extrusions are available in 4- and 6-meter stock lengths.
