Stainless steel electrodes

Available in two models, self-shielded, flux-cored, austenitic stainless steel electrodes are designed to reduce cracking and improve corrosion resistance. SelectAlloy 307T0-3 (E307T0-3) contains a nominal weld-metal composition of 21 percent chromium, 10 percent nickel, 4 percent manganese and 1 percent molybdenum; it is used to weld armor plate as well as join carbon and low-alloy steels to austenitic stainless steels and for the cladding of carbon steels. SelectAlloy 347T0-3 (E347T0-3) is composed of 20 percent chromium, 10 percent nickel and 0.7 percent columbium; the columbium forms a stable carbide that reduces chromium carbide precipitation and makes the weld metal more resistant to intergranular corrosion. Both electrodes are available in 0.45-, 1/16- and 3/32-inch diameters.
