Municipalities and highway crews responsible for large-scale snow control can use the V-Maxx 9500 spreader to distribute 8,500 pounds of salt and/or sand in 20 minutes. Compatible with larger commercial-duty pickups, flatbed trucks and dump-bed trucks, the V-box-style spreader is electrically powered by a ¾-horsepower, 12-volt drive system, eliminating the need for pulleys, sprockets or chains. To ensure continuous material flow, the spreader features a multi-angle poly hopper, vibrator and inverted V-baffle, which help the auger get material to the spinner more quickly and accurately. Operators dictate spinner and auger speed for efficient material discharge with a cab-mounted control; spread width is adjustable from 10 to 40 feet. A digital LED display with status monitoring and system protection is standard, as is an auto-reverse function to negate auger jams.
