Insta-Chain is an automatic ice and snow chain that engages at the flip of a switch. Insta-Chain mounts to the axle or suspension of the truck and provides traction to the vehicle in ice, packed snow and snow up to 8 inches deep. The unit has been approved in all states that have chain laws and will fit on most half-ton and larger vehicles, including ambulances, fire trucks, school buses, plow trucks and 18-wheelers. Features include replaceable chains, greaseable chain wheel bearings and a universal mounting bracket. The unit's dust seal protects the air cylinder from rocks, dirt, ice and other debris. A grease fitting in the arm bearings allows the user to grease the pivot point, prolonging the life of the bearings and the chain unit.
