The Instant Cure Emulsion (ICE) system is easy to apply and offers good weatherproofing qualities. The three-component system can cure in as few as four hours, according to the manufacturer. The system includes: a sprayable, water-based asphalt emulsion adhesive; a high-tensile reinforcing fabric treated with a special catalyst; and a low-VOC, acrylic, elastomeric roof coating that satisfies the requirements of Energy Star, the Cool Roof Rating Council and California's Revised Title 24 Energy Code. The tough roof surface is highly reflective, which should help lower energy costs, according to the manufacturer.
