The rolling packer is suited for road building and site preparation work. It is equipped with a pair of 15-19.5 6-ply tires on a hydraulically actuated lift. The lift system features a 5-by-24-inch hydraulic cylinder, ¾-inch hoses rated to 4,000 pounds per square inch, and wheel hubs and spindles rated at 15,000 pounds each. With the wheels raised to the work position, the unit meets the legal transport width in most states and communities. Nine-inch elliptical teeth allow deep penetration, and teeth cleaners are standard. A smooth roller also is available. Both configurations can be equipped with an optional front leveling blade for smoothing the work surface ahead of the drum.
