A new skid steer-based post driver, the Bradco PD4800, offers a combined weight (driver and hammer) of 1,700 pounds and can be fitted to any commercially available skid steer. The post driver can operate off standard-flow auxiliary hydraulics, eliminating the need for a separate pump and tank; a quick-change striker plate and collar assembly allows fast changes to accommodate different-sized posts up to 8 inches round or square. Other features include a 12.65-inch manual side shift, oversized motor bearing supports and drive sprocket and hands-free operation, once posts are set.
