The Cameleon can be converted from a tracked vehicle to a four-wheel-drive articulated vehicle in fewer than four hours. The vehicle's heavy-duty oscillation and articulation system is equipped with two cone bearings and an adjusting system to avoid premature wear and minimize downtime. Two hydraulic cylinders are provided for steering control. The unit has a 130-horsepower Perkins engine with a fully hydrostatic transmission. A tilt-over cab provides access to the engine compartment for maintenance. Safety features include a pressurized cab with a rollover protection system and a falling-object protection system. Air conditioning and an integrated PTO system are standard features.
