The PreCise mobile resource management (MRM) uses truck-mounted GPS hardware and web-based software to provide detailed reporting on the work effort of winter maintenance equipment. The device is integrated into the truck's controls for plow operations, salt and sand application, and other functions. Operations personnel can quickly determine which routes have been covered and how many miles have been treated, and drill down to know which equipment operators are using the most road treatment material.
