Elgin's Pelican three-wheel broom sweeper is now available in a model powered by compressed or liquefied natural gas or propane. The sweeper can help reduce a city fleet's greenhouse gas and NOx emissions over the equipment's diesel equivalents, while reducing the consumption of crude oil-based diesel fuel, The Pelican features a 10-foot sweeping path, no-jam debris conveyor and a Cummins B5.9-195G engine. The Pelican's dimensions (16 feet long, 8 feet, 6 inches wide) allow for maneuverability in developed, urban areas.
