Metalux VT4 Series fixtures can save up to 50 percent of the energy used by comparable 400-watt metal halide and high-pressure sodium high-bay systems, according to the company. Reinforced fiberglass housing, a UV-stabilized diffuser and stainless steel cam clutches are included in the design to increase durability and functionality in indoor or outdoor environments with high temperatures, humidity and/or corrosive fumes. The 4-foot Vaportite Series is available with four or six T5 or T8 lamps, offering medium or wide beam distributions. A code-compliant pre-wired internal disconnect enables safe power shut-off during maintenance. The fixtures, which can be chain- or cable mounted, are UL-listed for wet locations, UL/cUL-listed, IP65- and IP67-certified and NEMA 4X, NSF-listed.
