The U55 five-ton tight tail swing compact excavator has 2.5 inches of tail-swing overhang. The excavator effectively works in tight job sites where lifting capacity over the front is important. The excavator has a 47.6-gross-horsepower, direct-injection Kubota diesel engine and features single-side servicing and an auto idle feature for fuel conservation and noise reduction. A load-sensing hydraulic system provides optimum oil flow to each cylinder for smooth operation and fuel economy. Canopy and cab models feature ROPS/FOPS certification. Kubota's anti-theft system is included as standard equipment.
