A line of Type 27 flexible mesh abrasive wheels comes in several grades for grinding, sanding, and preparing the surfaces of composite wind turbine blades, fiberglass boat hulls, and related products for coating. Government applications include motor pool maintenance, and repairs to parks and recreation equipment and public works facilities. Wheels feature a blend of zirconia-ceramic abrasive grains bonded to a flexible-mesh depressed-center Type 27 wheel and come in coarse, medium, fine and very-fine grades. They are chatter-free and clog-resistant. Measuring 4½ inches in diameter by ⅞ inch, they come with back-up pads and can be stacked on the grinder. Also effective for stainless steel, metals, aluminum, and wood, the discs are available in a test kit featuring two each of coarse, medium, fine and very-fine grades.
