Reverse-flow hydraulic boom operates
with manufacturer’s line of 500-, 800- and 1,200-gal. vacuum
excavators to reduce operator fatigue and enhance productivity. The
boom rotates 270° and telescopes to a maximum reach of 14 ft.
from pivot point. Wireless remote control adjusts height and
extension of boom. Operator can choose either manual or hydraulic
boom rotation. Auxiliary hydraulic motor also can power other
hydraulic tools, eliminating the need for additional compressors at
job site. If boom’s 4-in.-diameter hose becomes blocked with
rock debris during vacuum process, operator can reverse air flow to
blow the clog out of the hose. For large projects, reverse flow can
be used to offload vacuum spoils into a holding vessel. For smaller
projects, reverse flow can help workers backfill holes easily.
Available with 5-ft.-long hose extensions. McLaughlin Group Inc., Greenville,
S.C.
