The 744K 4WD loader has an Interim Tier 4 (IT4) engine option that meets the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) IT4 emissions regulations. The engine uses cooled exhaust gas recirculation technology and produces the same 304 horsepower as a 744K equipped with a Tier 3 engine. Testing for the product included moving snow and pipe in extreme cold at altitudes above 10,000 feet, as well as continuous-use applications like municipal waste transfer.
