The Stratos variable-speed pump's synchronous motor and permanent magnet rotor work together to provide heating and cooling fluid in different building areas as temperature maintenance dictates. By responding to fluctuations rather than providing constant circulation, the Stratos can efficiently perform heating and chilled-water system pump applications. Users can control all functions of the Stratos with either the single button and front-mounted display located on the pump or a Windows mobile-based PDA. If needed, the pump can connect to local operating networks, and additional interface modules for dual pump management are available for retrofitting.
