The DSC2000EM3 electromechanical barricade pops up in 1.5 seconds in an emergency and deploys within five to 12 seconds at normal deployment speed. Each module is individually counter balanced and can be raised manually with one hand. The barricade's power unit plugs into a standard 120 volt/15 amp wall socket. Up to four modules can be powered with a single self-contained motor drive. The unit is suited for soft targets that are susceptible to car and truck bombings. Potential intermediate level security applications include government and military facilities, agency headquarters and high-value cargo depots.
