The 1AC-I allows electricians, maintenance, service and safety personnel to test for energized circuits and defective grounds. By touching the tip of the pocket-size tester to a terminal strip, outlet or power cord and watching for the tip to glow red, users can determine quickly if there is voltage in the line. The unit includes an always-on feature and is built with low-power circuitry to sustain battery life. A battery-check function ensures that the battery and tester are in good condition before use.
