Electrical Hazards Awareness is a comprehensive training program that helps meet OSHA and ANSI safety compliance requirements. Electricity is a leading cause of worker fatalities for municipal forestry, parks and public works employees. Almost all county, city and town employees working in or near trees in the field have at least some exposure to an electrical hazard. About half of all electrocution fatalities are the result of indirect contact, as one does not have to touch a wire to be electrocuted. Electrical hazards make working in or near trees a recognizable safety hazard.
