The integrated Firelite foam system increases the fire control capacity of Firelite wildland fire skid units by helping cool the fire as water does, and by coating the fuel to prevent contact with oxygen. Around-the-pump systems offer features including variable flow rate, variable pressure, no back pressure restrictions and no nozzle restrictions. In the system, the Scotty 4701 Foam Eductor/Mixer with integrated foam tank is mounted between the discharge and suction side of the Darley-Davey pump. The unit is adjustable, permitting various foam ratio percentages to be educted depending on the nozzles being used. The system boosts firefighting effectiveness in remote or off-road fires.
