A complete line of fever alert products enables rapid screening of individuals in public places for elevated body temperatures. Products include a hand-held infrared thermometer, a thermal imaging camera and a high-resolution thermal imaging system. The products quickly and automatically detect the hottest temperature on a subject, and they detect critical temperature differences in real time. The products give off both audible and visible alarms for increased body temperature or fever above the “normal” (98.6 degrees Fahrenheit or 37 degrees Celsius), which is often a good clinical indication of possible infection. The products are non-contact and non-invasive. Also available is a blackbody temperature reference source that allows for calibration verification of the unit before and during use.
