The new P5400 line of Project 25 (P25) portable radios is available in VHF, UHF and 800 Megahertz frequencies. According to the manufacturer, the 800 Megahertz model is the first to meet the standards set by the DHS P25 Compliance Assessment Program. The line supports multiple radio operating modes, including P25 digital trunked and P25 conventional, OpenSky trunked mode, Enhanced Digital Access Communications System (EDACS) trunked mode, ProVoice trunked mode and Analog Conventional mode. It combines digital and analog operation in one radio, and is configurable and expandable with software options.
