The manufacturer's new line of DC Power Units provides high-output battery charging. The products have low emissions and require little maintenance, and the diesel systems can consume an average of less than one-tenth gallon of fuel per hour. The systems feature remote start/stop panels, oil pressure and water temperature safety shutdowns and vibration isolation mounts. Radiator cooling options include mounted or remote with an electric fan. Basic DC Power Unit packages start with a single-cylinder, diesel Kubota engine and a 150-amp, 12V alternator. Measuring 24 inches high by 24 inches wide by 20 inches diameter and weighing 220 pounds, the DC Power Unit pairs a 3-cylinder, 18-horsepower engine with an efficient 275-amp permanent magnet alternator. The company also offers a 5-kW generator with a 275-amp alternator for multiple applications.
