High-horsepower tractors

Two new high-horsepower models, MT585B and MT595B, have been added to the Challenger MT500B series tractor line. The tractors feature continuously variable transmission (CVT), and are powered by a 7.4-liter-capacity engine. An active stop feature stops forward and reverse travel by raising the shuttle lever. The tractor stays in place, even on a slope, until the shuttle lever is lowered. The CVT enables the operator to determine a specific ground speed and optimum revolutions per minute. With that information, the tractor's engine and transmission work together to choose the most efficient engine speed. The tractors have a separate oil reservoir for the transmission.
