The BC1200XL has a dual-horizontal offset feed roller design that grabs and feeds material up to 12 inches (30.5 cm) in diameter into the chipper drum. A clutchless PTO system prevents high idle engagement of the cutter drum, and the SmartFeed system automatically monitors engine speed and stops or reverses the unit's feed rollers if needed. A removable choker chain allows users to connect the winch line to logs, while the winch interlock hook stores the winch line out of the normal material flow.
