To produce the Stride line of work surfaces, storage and panel components, Allsteel ensured that sustainable standards were met at each stage of the product lifecycle: design, build, use, reuse and recycle. Stride is SCS Indoor Advantage Gold-certified and compliant with the 2008 passage of BIFMA Design for the Environment; the entire panel system meets the standards of Cradle-to-Cradle Silver environmental certification. The company offset 100 percent of the energy used to produce Stride by purchasing wind-energy credits. The Stride line is made up of 46 percent recycled material and is over 90 percent recyclable, according to the company.
