To help governments and others who rent diesel-powered equipment comply with emissions regulations, RSC Equipment Rental provides a tracking service with hour meters to monitor levels of pollutants produced by diesel equipment. Levels of carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, hydrocarbons and other emissions are calculated using independently verified formulas that use data that includes hours of use, fuel consumption, density conversion and horsepower/tier level. Results are printed on the rental invoice. The service tracks emissions on the articulating boom lift (pictured) and other equipment.
