Combined heating and cooling system

The Acadia electric heating/cooling system operates as a conventional heat pump until temperatures fall to 30 F or lower. At that point, the system's multiple speed compressor works with a second compressor. Capacities modified for colder northern temperatures allow the pump to continue absorbing heat at temperatures as low -30 F. The system replaces oil or natural gas furnaces while maintaining comfort levels throughout the year.
