Line of quickly deployable water purification systems can be used by first responders to aid in establishing and maintaining a potable water supply in an emergency situation. Line of six PuriFire systems includes units for municipal and military applications. Municipal PuriFire systems are designed to work with the pump on a fire apparatus or in conjunction with an in-place water department. Systems are available as portable self-contained units or systems that are integrated with fire apparatus. Model 3S3P (pictured) is a compact, portable unit that features a three-stage water purification process. With washable prefilter, carbon block and UV disinfection, unit can convert lake, well or river water to drinking water at 3 gpm. W.S. Darley & Co., Itasca, Ill.
