The T440 model in tractor and truck configurations is suited for regional haul, city pickup and delivery, and municipal and vocational applications. It has a Gross Vehicle Weight ranging from 33,000 pounds (heavy Class 7) up to 68,000 pounds (light Class 8). The truck is powered by a PACCAR PX-8 engine that has 260 to 350 horsepower. The truck can be equipped with an optional 9-liter Cummins ISL engine with between 345 to 380 horsepower. The T440 is available in 10-, 11- and 13-speed manual, and five- and six-speed automatic transmissions.
