The MEGA van, MEGA Tilt-Bed and other Columbia vehicles are suited for military installations; national, state and municipal parks; federal prisons; jails and other locations where a vehicle has a range of 50 miles or less between charges. The units help reduce greenhouse gases as well as fuel costs, according to the manufacturer. The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) approved leasing the firm's Low Speed Vehicles directly to U.S. government agencies using the GSA's Multiple Award Schedules program.
