Global Electric Motorcars' 2009 line of battery-electric vehicles features six models: the two-passenger GEM e2; the four-passenger GEM e4; the six-passenger GEM e6; the two-passenger GEM eS with a short-back bed; the two-passenger GEM eL with a long-back bed (pictured); and the two-passenger extra-duty GEM eL XD with a long-back bed. All six vehicles are powered by a 72-volt battery system with an onboard charger that plugs into a standard 110-volt outlet. The vehicles boast a top speed of 25 mph and a range of up to 30 miles on one charge. Each model meets and exceeds all federal safety regulations for low-speed vehicles and is thoroughly tested for quality and endurance at the Chrysler Automotive Proving Grounds.
