Higher chromium content and columbium stabilization enable the 430L-Cb electrode to withstand higher temperatures needed for welding tempered base metals, such as those used in converters, mufflers and exhaust system components. According to the manufacturer, the electrode delivers faster travel speeds, handles gaps and poor fit-up and produces less spatter. Available diameters are .045, .052 and .063 inches.
