The MTE hood assist is designed to make it easier to open the hood on larger GM trucks. The device reduces the initial opening force for a hood from 66 to 22 pounds and turns a two-handed operation into a one-handed operation. The hood assist is compatible with stationary and tilting grilles and boasts no-drill installation. It can be used on the GM C4500, C5500, C6500, C7500 and C8500 models.
